Created for Ferrari's XX Programme, it is a circuit-only laboratory in which selected Client-Test Drivers work with Ferrari specialists to explore advanced technology at the limit.

At its heart is a 6,262 cc, 65-degree V12 producing 860 cv, joined by a 190 cv electric motor for a combined 1,050 cv and more than 900 Nm of maximum torque. The “K” refers to KERS—the Kinetic Energy Recovery System developed to turn recovered energy into immediate track performance.

Performance Without a Rulebook

Freed from the compromises of road use and the technical limits of a racing category, the FXX K allowed Ferrari to focus every system on circuit performance. Its active and passive aerodynamics generate 540 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, while its sculpted nose, turning vanes, underbody and distinctive rear fins manage airflow with the precision of a racing prototype.

The hybrid system, electronic differential, traction control and track-focused engine calibration work as one. Yet the FXX K was never conceived to chase a championship. Its purpose was experimentation: giving Ferrari's engineers and client drivers a shared platform for learning, development and extraordinary driving.

From Abu Dhabi to the XX Programme

Ferrari unveiled the FXX K on 3 December 2014 during the Finali Mondiali at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. It made its Client-Test Driver track debut at Imola on 4–5 June 2015, followed by its first public circuit appearance at Ferrari Racing Days in Budapest later that month.

The car's importance was recognised beyond the stopwatch. It received the Red Dot “Best of the Best” award in 2015, followed by an iF Gold Award and the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2016. With its naturally aspirated V12, HY-KERS system and close dialogue between design and aerodynamics, the FXX K remains one of Ferrari's clearest expressions of technology shaped for the track alone.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0721/9662/0376/files/ferrari-fxx-k-master-01-front-three-quarter.png?v=1788075180
